Thu Nov 14 18:15:44 UTC 2024: ## New Basketball Courts at Vidyodaya Schools Inaugurated
**Chennai, November 14, 2024** – School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi inaugurated two new FIBA-standard basketball courts at Vidyodaya Schools on Thursday. These courts were funded by Ganapathi Sankaran in memory of his late wife, Latha Ganapathi, a 1973 graduate of the school. The project cost an estimated ₹60 lakh.
Speaking at the inauguration, Vidyodaya Schools chairperson Jayanthi highlighted that the addition of these courts provides students with opportunities for holistic development.
Minister Poyyamozhi also inspected a school in the Chief Minister’s constituency, Kolathur, on the occasion of Children’s Day. He encouraged students to focus on their studies and pursue their passions wholeheartedly, urging them to avoid distractions.
