**SRISAILAM, INDIA – November 14, 2024** – The Sri Bhramarambha Mallikarjuna Swamy temple at Srisailam is gearing up for a massive turnout of devotees for the upcoming Karthika Pournami celebrations, starting on Friday, November 15th.

The temple management is expecting a large influx of devotees from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience, elaborate arrangements have been made to facilitate darshan, provide accommodation, water, and annaprasadam (food offerings). The management is also focusing on maintaining traffic flow and sanitation within the temple town.

Key highlights of the celebrations include the “Punyanadi Harathi” ritual at the Patalaganga, where devotees will offer holy bath to the river Krishna, and the “Jwalathoranam” ceremony at the Gangadhara Mandapam, both expected to attract huge crowds.

Temple Executive Officer (EO) E. Chandrasekhar Reddy has personally inspected the arrangements at both locations and has directed officials to take necessary precautions to ensure the safety and comfort of devotees. He has emphasized the importance of proper lighting, deploying expert swimmers for safety at Patalaganga, and coordinating with local police to prevent overcrowding at the Gangadhara Mandapam.

The celebrations will also include a variety of harathi ceremonies. On the occasion of Karthika Pournami, priests will offer 11 different types of harathis to the river Krishna at Patalaganga. In the evening, 10 types of harathis will be offered to the presiding deities and the “Pushkarini” (temple pond).

The temple authorities are confident that the Karthika Pournami celebrations at Srisailam will be a grand success, providing devotees with a spiritually enriching and memorable experience.
