**Puducherry, November 14, 2024:** The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (Jipmer) has announced the closure of its Out Patient Department (OPD) units on Friday, November 15th, in observance of the Central government holiday for Guru Nanak Jayanti.

A press note from Jipmer urged patients to avoid visiting the OPD on the holiday. However, emergency services will remain operational as usual.
