**Tonk, Rajasthan:** The Samraavta “thappad kand” (slap incident) continues to make headlines, with tensions escalating further after SDM Amit Chaudhary claimed he would have been able to defend himself if he wasn’t on duty.
Chaudhary, who was slapped by Naresh Meena, the accused in the incident, also alleged that Meena was responsible for the subsequent violence in the village. The violence saw over 30 vehicles set ablaze and 14 police officers injured.
