**Ballari, November 15, 2024:** Nara Bharath Reddy, MLA, has ordered the suspension of several officials at the Ballari Medical College and Research Centre (BMCRC) district hospital following a surprise inspection on Friday. Mr. Reddy was appalled by the hospital’s management and the staff’s “carelessness,” particularly in vital departments.
The MLA’s visit comes after numerous complaints about the hospital’s substandard services. He expressed concern over the recent deaths of three out of five lactating mothers admitted to the hospital, and has ordered an investigation into the incidents.
“I raised this issue in the KDP meeting, but little improvement has been seen,” Mr. Reddy stated.
