Fri Nov 15 13:50:41 UTC 2024: ## Congress Accuses BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao of Orchestrating Attack on Officials

**Hyderabad, November 15, 2024:** The Telangana Congress has accused BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao of instigating the recent attack on the Vikarabad Collector and other officials in Lagacharla village. Speaking to the media on Friday, Congress leaders Patel Ramesh Reddy, Malreddy Ramreddy, and Jaipal alleged that the attack was part of a “plan by KTR to destabilize the government.”

The leaders criticized the BRS’s alleged “hate politics” and expressed bewilderment at the party’s descent into such “low-level politics.” They pointed out that while Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao is focused on providing jobs to youth, K.T. Rama Rao’s sole purpose seems to be to defame the government and hinder development.

Recalling the violent land acquisitions during the BRS’s rule, Ramesh Reddy stated that the party was responsible for the attacks in both the Lagacharla incident and those during land acquisition. Malreddy Ramreddy asserted that Telangana had never witnessed such attacks on officials before and argued that the Congress fought democratically despite facing suppression from the BRS government. He further claimed that BRS leaders were anxious about their scams being exposed and the huge debts left behind by their administration.

Jaipal refuted the BRS’s concerns about land acquisition, questioning their sincerity considering the lakhs of acres allegedly fraudulently acquired from farmers using the Dharani portal. He emphasized that the Congress is committed to bringing industries to the state, unlike the BRS which is motivated by land grabbing.
