**New Delhi, November 15:** Several banks across India will remain closed on Friday, November 15, in observance of Guru Nanak Jayanti, the birth anniversary of the founder of Sikhism. The celebration coincides with Kartik Purnima, a significant Hindu festival.
States including Mizoram, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, Telangana, Arunachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jammu, Uttar Pradesh, New Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, and West Bengal will see bank closures.
While physical branches remain closed, customers can still access banking services through ATMs, online platforms, and UPI systems. For urgent needs, online transactions and assistance will be available, depending on the individual bank.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) sets the annual bank holiday schedule, factoring in national and state holidays, as well as specific events and weekend closures.
Other upcoming bank holidays in November include Kanakadasa Jayanti in Karnataka on November 18 and Seng Kutsnem in Meghalaya on November 23.
