Fri Nov 15 15:51:00 UTC 2024: ## Haryana Pacer Anshul Kamboj Achieves Historic Ranji Trophy Feat

**Rohtak, India:** Haryana pacer Anshul Kamboj etched his name in Ranji Trophy history on Friday, becoming only the third bowler to take all 10 wickets in an innings. Kamboj achieved this remarkable feat against Kerala, dismissing them for 291 runs on Day Three of the match at the Chaudhary Bansi Lal Cricket Stadium in Lahli, Rohtak.

The 23-year-old right-arm pacer finished with figures of 10-49 in 30.1 overs, showcasing an impressive display of pace, bounce, and aggression. He joins an elite club that includes Premangsu Chatterjee (10/20 in 1956) and Pradeep Sunderam (10/78 in 1985).

Kamboj’s heroics came after he had already picked eight wickets on the second day. He continued his relentless assault on the third day, removing Basil Thampi and Shoun Roger in quick succession to complete his historic 10-wicket haul.

This achievement comes on the back of a successful season for Kamboj. He previously impressed in the Duleep Trophy, picking 8-69 in September, and played a crucial role in Haryana’s victory in the Vijay Hazare Trophy last season.

Kamboj’s performances have earned him recognition on the national stage. He represented Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2024, picking up two wickets, and played for India ‘A’ in the Emerging Men’s Asia Cup last month.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah lauded Kamboj’s performance, calling it an “excellent exhibition of pace, bounce, and aggression.”

With this remarkable feat, Anshul Kamboj has established himself as a rising star in Indian cricket, and his future looks bright.
