**WASHINGTON** – President-elect Donald Trump is set to meet with Argentine President Javier Milei at his Florida estate, Mar-a-Lago, on Thursday. The meeting will take place during the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) summit, which will be held at Trump’s private club over the next few days.

Milei, a far-right libertarian politician elected last November, has been compared to Trump for his anti-establishment rhetoric and economic policies. He has pledged to tackle Argentina’s soaring inflation and has announced plans to eliminate 15,000 government jobs.

Trump has previously expressed admiration for Milei, calling him his “favorite president” during a phone call. The meeting marks the first known in-person meeting between Trump and a world leader since his political comeback in last week’s election.

Milei’s visit to the U.S. coincides with a summit for investors at CPAC, which will take place from Thursday to Saturday at Mar-a-Lago. The summit will feature a number of prominent speakers, including Tesla CEO and X owner Elon Musk, who has been appointed to lead the Department of Government Efficiency alongside entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy.

The meeting between Trump and Milei comes as over 80 foreign leaders have contacted the president-elect since his election victory. Other world leaders, including Indonesia’s President Prabowo Subianto, have expressed interest in meeting with the new administration.
