Fri Nov 15 08:00:11 UTC 2024: ## Cobra Kai Goes Global in Epic Season Finale

The beloved Netflix series *Cobra Kai* is gearing up for its explosive final season, with the next five episodes taking the story to Barcelona, Spain for a global karate tournament: the Sekai Taikai.

This tournament, described by creators Jon Hurwitz, Josh Heald, and Hayden Schlossberg as a “Squid Game” meets “WWE Royal Rumble” style event, will see students and senseis from Miyagi-Do battling dojos from around the world.

“We wanted it to feel different,” Hurwitz explained, emphasizing that the Sekai Taikai will feature unique combinations of fighting styles and a sense of danger never before seen in the show. “There are 16 teams here and we want you to get that flavor and feel of all these different teams from all these different countries.”

The final five episodes, releasing on November 15th, promise a high-octane, action-packed conclusion that will see the characters face off against their greatest challenges yet. While *Cobra Kai* might be coming to an end, the creators have hinted at future plans to continue exploring the *Karate Kid* universe.

Fans can expect to see the return of fan-favorite characters, a new level of intensity in the fighting, and the return of iconic musical elements from previous seasons. And though the team is not directly involved in the upcoming *Karate Kid* film, they are thrilled to see the franchise gain renewed popularity thanks to *Cobra Kai*.

“It’s awesome to see Ralph Macchio on the movie poster,” Schlossberg shared. “We’re fans of the ’80s and to give life to this world is exciting.”

The final five episodes of *Cobra Kai* are set to deliver a satisfying conclusion to the beloved series, but the creators have promised that this isn’t the end of the *Karate Kid* universe. Stay tuned for updates on what’s next for this beloved franchise.
