Fri Nov 15 16:38:23 UTC 2024: ## India to play practice match ahead of Border-Gavaskar Trophy

**Perth, Australia:** The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has organized a three-day practice match for the Indian cricket team ahead of the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy series against Australia. This comes after criticism over the BCCI’s initial decision to cancel a planned practice match against the India A team.

The practice match, scheduled from November 15th to 17th, will see the senior team players playing alongside members of the India A team currently in Australia. However, spectators will not be allowed entry and the match will not be televised.

The Indian team, led by Rohit Sharma, arrived in Australia on November 13th. However, Sharma is expected to miss the first Test due to personal reasons, with KL Rahul likely to open the innings. The team will continue their preparations with the practice match before the first Test begins.
