Nissan has officially launched the updated Magnite subcompact SUV in South Africa, building on the success of the model’s initial release. The refreshed Magnite boasts several new features, including a bold new front grille with integrated LED headlights and “lightsaber-style” indicators. The rear also features updated LED taillamps with a three-dimensional honeycomb pattern.
The Magnite now rides on 16-inch dual-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels and is available in a range of five monotone and six dual-tone color options. Safety features include a walk away lock and approach unlock function, remote engine start, a short turning circle radius, hill start assist, TPMS, and an Arkamys sound system with 4 speakers and 2 tweeters.
The Magnite is powered by either a 1.0-liter naturally aspirated three-cylinder engine producing 53 kW and 96 N.m of torque, or a 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine delivering 74 kW and 160 N.m of torque. The naturally aspirated engine can be paired with a five-speed manual gearbox or Nissan’s EZ-Shift automated manual transmission (AMT), while the turbocharged option is available with a five-speed manual or Nissan’s X-tronic CVT gearbox.
The updated Magnite offers a compelling package for those seeking a stylish and practical subcompact SUV with a variety of features and engine options.
