**New Delhi, India:** The Mahindra Thar Roxx has become the first body-on-frame SUV in India to achieve a full five-star safety rating in the Bharat NCAP crash tests. The AX5L and MX3 variants were tested, but the rating applies to all Thar Roxx models.
The SUV impressed with its robust safety features, including six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), and seat belt reminders as standard. Higher variants boast additional safety features like Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, and a tyre pressure monitor.
In the adult safety test, the Thar Roxx scored an impressive 31.09 out of 32, offering good protection for all passengers. It received adequate protection for the driver’s chest and legs during the frontal offset test, and excellent protection in the side impact pole test.
The child safety test yielded a score of 45 out of 49, with the vehicle equipped with ISOFIX mounts for the rear seat and providing ample protection for crash test dummies.

This latest achievement marks a significant milestone for Mahindra, following the 4-star rating awarded to the Thar 3-door by Global NCAP. With this five-star rating, the Mahindra Thar Roxx is poised to become a leader in the Indian SUV market, offering consumers a safe and reliable vehicle.
