**ITANAGAR, November 14, 2024:** Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General KT Parnaik paid tribute to veterans of the 1962 Sino-Indian War during a visit to Anjaw district. On behalf of the state, the Governor expressed deep gratitude for their courage and sacrifice during the conflict.
“Their bravery and fortitude are etched in the hearts of every Arunachali,” said the Governor, emphasizing that their legacy will be remembered for generations to come.
As part of the ‘Walong Day’ celebrations, the Governor, accompanied by military leaders, attended a ‘barakhana’ (feast) with troops and witnessed a light and sound show commemorating the Battle of Walong, a pivotal event in the 1962 war.
