**Bengaluru, November 13, 2024:** Devotees planning to embark on the Sabarimala pilgrimage this year will have a new convenient travel option thanks to the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC). The state-run transport agency has announced a direct Volvo bus service between Bengaluru and Nilakkal, the base point for the pilgrimage in Kerala.

The new service will commence on November 29, 2024, with a Volvo bus departing from Shanthinagar Bus Station in Bengaluru at 1:50 p.m. The bus is scheduled to reach Nilakkal by 6:45 a.m. the next day. The return journey from Nilakkal will depart at 6 p.m., arriving in Bengaluru by 10 a.m. the following day.

The one-way ticket price is set at ₹1,750 per passenger. This initiative aims to provide a comfortable and direct travel option for devotees, eliminating the need for multiple transfers and saving valuable time.
