**Hyderabad, November 12, 2024:** The Telangana Veerashaiva Lingayat Federation (TVLF) has issued an appeal to all members of the Veerashaiva Lingayat/Linga Balija community in Telangana to provide accurate caste information to the enumerators during the ongoing comprehensive socio-economic, employment, and caste survey.
The TVLF emphasized that the community has been assigned code 115 and classified as BC (D) in the survey. They urged community members to clearly state “Veerashaiva Lingayat” or “Linga Balija” along with code 115 when interacting with the enumerators. This, they said, will ensure accurate representation and avoid exclusion of the community from the survey’s benefits.
