**Thiruvananthapuram, November 11, 2024:** The Thiruvananthapuram City Police have apprehended three men, allegedly involved in multiple criminal cases, for possession of 18 grams of MDMA. The suspects, identified as Ramesh (40), Baiju Pereira (33), and Roy Benjamin (31), were arrested by the Sreekaryam police in collaboration with the Special Action Group against Organised Crimes (SAGOC).
The trio was apprehended from their rented house in Kallampally, near Sreekaryam, where they allegedly stored and distributed narcotics. The police seized several unused syringes, crystal bowls, and a weighing machine, all believed to be used in the drug trade.
Ramesh, a known criminal with a history of theft cases across various police stations in the city, was a key target for the police.
The arrested individuals were remanded to judicial custody. The police intend to seek their custody for further investigation into the source of the synthetic drug and to identify any other individuals involved in the drug racket.
