**Seoul, South Korea** – Kia has officially unveiled the name of its upcoming compact SUV, putting to rest speculation. The new model, previously rumored to be called “Clavis,” will be known as the “Syros.” This confirmation comes with a teaser video showcasing the vehicle’s bold and boxy design language.

While the teaser provides only a brief glimpse of the Syros, it highlights key design elements. The SUV boasts tall pillars, a flat roofline, and squarish, flared-up wheel arches, creating a muscular stance despite its compact dimensions. Sharp cuts, creases, and a clamshell bonnet further enhance its aggressive appearance.

The rear profile features distinctive L-shaped LED taillights integrated into the D-pillars, paired with a flat tailgate and rear bumper reflectors. Upfront, the Syros showcases prominent L-shaped LED DRLs on the side of the bumper and large air intakes. Functional roof rails and dual-tone machine-cut alloy wheels complete the sporty look.

Inside, the Syros features a modern, driver-focused cockpit with a two-spoke, flat-bottom, multifunction steering wheel. The dashboard houses a twin-screen setup, similar to other recent Kia models, offering a digital interface for infotainment and instrument cluster functions. Additional expected amenities include advanced lighting technology, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera system, automatic wipers, smartphone connectivity, and a high-quality audio system.

While specific powertrain details are still under wraps, the Kia Syros is likely to share engine and transmission options with the Sonet. This could include a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine, and a 1.5-liter diesel engine. Transmission choices might range from a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, 6-speed AMT, and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
