**Pune, November 11, 2024:** In anticipation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Pune on Tuesday, November 12, the city’s traffic department has announced significant traffic restrictions. The Prime Minister is scheduled to address a public gathering at the S.P. College ground on Tilak Road, prompting the closure of several key thoroughfares in the area.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Amol Zende urged citizens to utilize alternative routes to avoid inconvenience.

**Key Traffic Restrictions:**

* **Tilak Road:** The stretch from N.C. Fadke Chowk to Nath Pai Chowk will be closed for traffic. Drivers are advised to take a left at N.C. Fadke Chowk, proceed via Nilaayam Cinema Hall, and use the underpass beneath the Parvati Flyover to reach Sinhgad Road. From Nath Pai Chowk, drivers should proceed straight onto Sinhgad Road.
* **Baburao Ghule Path, Tilak Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya, Ambil Odh area:** All roads in these areas will remain closed. Drivers are advised to take a left at the Tilak Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya Chowk, proceed via Joggers Park, and use the Shastri Road to reach their desired destination.
* **Sane Guruji Path (Tilak Road Chowk to Nilaayam Cinema Hall):** All types of vehicles will be prohibited from parking.

**Heavy Vehicle Ban:**

In addition to the above, heavy vehicles are prohibited from entering the city from midnight Monday (November 11) to midnight Tuesday (November 12). The following routes will be off-limits to heavy vehicles:

* **Solapur Road:** Beyond Bhairoba Nala Chowk
* **Nagar Road:** Beyond Kharadi Outer Ring Road Chowk
* **Alandi Road:** Beyond Bopkhel Fata Chowk
* **Old Mumbai-Pune Road:** Beyond Harris Bridge
* **Oundh Road:** Beyond Rajiv Gandhi Bridge
* **Baner Road:** Beyond Radha Hotel Chowk
* **Pashan Road:** Beyond Chhatrapati Shivaji Chowk
* **Paud Road:** Beyond Paud Fata Chowk
* **Karve Road:** Beyond Warje Flyover Chowk
* **Sinhgad Road:** Beyond Vadgaon Flyover
* **Satara Road:** Beyond Market Yard Chowk
* **Saswad Road:** Beyond Bopdev Ghat (via Saswad)
* **Kondhwa:** Beyond Khadi Machine Chowk
* **Hadapsar to Saswad Road:** From Mantrawaidi Fata to Hadapsar
* **Lohgaon Road:** Beyond Petrol Stock Chowk

The Pune Police have requested citizens to cooperate with the traffic restrictions and follow the designated alternative routes to ensure a smooth and safe visit for Prime Minister Modi.
