**Belur, Karnataka (November 12, 2024):** A manager of a financial and banking company in Belur, Hassan district, has been accused of stealing ₹4.68 lakh from the branch locker. Chandan K.Y., manager of the Belur branch of Bharat Financial Inclusion Ltd., allegedly took the cash on November 9th and has since gone missing.
According to the police complaint filed by Prashanth D., unit manager of the firm, Chandan’s phone has been switched off since the incident. The complaint was filed after Darshan V.R., the branch cashier, informed Prashanth of the missing funds, and documents were verified.
The Belur police have registered a complaint and are currently investigating the matter, according to a press release issued by Hassan SP Mohammed Sujeetha.
