**KRISHNAGIRI, November 11, 2024:** The remains of a 30-year-old male elephant were discovered in the Urigam Reserve Forest on Monday, prompting an investigation by the Forest Department. The discovery was made after a local resident alerted authorities to the strong odor emanating from the carcass.
A team from the Forest Department inspected the remains, noting that the tusks were intact. An autopsy was conducted on-site, and preliminary findings suggest that the elephant died of natural causes.
