The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the official date sheet for the Class 10 and 12 board exams by the end of November. While no official notification has been issued yet, based on previous trends, the exams are anticipated to begin on February 15, 2025, and conclude in April.
This year, CBSE is expected to follow the pattern of commencing exams on February 15, a practice they have been adhering to since 2023. In 2021 and 2022, the board exams were held in May and April respectively.
The CBSE Class 10 and 12 date sheet will outline the exam days, dates, timings, and provide general instructions for students.
CBSE has already provided details about the practical exams for both classes. Class 10 practical exams will be held from January 1, 2025, while those for Class 12 will be held from February 15, 2025. The board has also clarified the mark distribution for theory, practical, project, and internal assessments.
A key difference in the practical exams is the supervision. While Class 12 practical exams will be conducted under the supervision of external examiners visiting schools, Class 10 practical exams will be conducted in the presence of school teachers only.
