Tue Nov 12 00:27:59 UTC 2024: ## Barcelona Hit by Injury Blow as Lewandowski and Yamal Miss International Break

Barcelona have been dealt a double injury blow ahead of the international break, with star forwards Robert Lewandowski and Lamine Yamal ruled out.

Lewandowski, who suffered a back injury during Sunday’s 1-0 defeat to Real Sociedad, will miss Poland’s upcoming Nations League games against Portugal and Scotland. The 36-year-old is expected to be out for approximately 10 days and should return for Barcelona’s La Liga match against Celta Vigo on November 23.

Meanwhile, 17-year-old Yamal, who missed the Real Sociedad game with a right ankle injury, is expected to be sidelined for two to three weeks. This means he will miss Spain’s matches against Denmark and Switzerland, as well as Barcelona’s trip to Vigo. His participation in the Champions League game against Brest on November 26 and the subsequent La Liga match against Las Palmas is also uncertain.

The injuries are a significant blow for Barcelona, who are currently top of La Liga, six points ahead of Real Madrid. Lewandowski has been in prolific form this season, leading the La Liga scoring charts with 17 goals in all competitions, while Yamal has scored six in 15 appearances.

Barcelona’s lead at the top of La Liga is a game more than their title rivals, and they will be hoping their key players recover quickly.
