**Palm Beach, Florida** – Former President Donald Trump has announced he will not be inviting former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley or former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to join his administration, which is currently in the process of forming.
Trump’s statement came via his social media platform, Truth Social, where he also praised Indian-American entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, suggesting he may be offered a senior position.
“I very much enjoyed and appreciated working with them previously, and would like to thank them for their service to our Country,” Trump said about Haley and Pompeo.
While Trump has declined to specify Ramaswamy’s potential role, he has repeatedly described him as “very smart” and someone who “will be a part of something that’s going to be really big.” During a recent campaign rally, Trump even suggested Ramaswamy could be placed in charge of a “big monster (in government).”
Haley became the first Indian-American to hold a cabinet post when Trump appointed her as the Permanent Representative to the United Nations. However, her brief tenure was marked by an unsuccessful run for the Republican presidential nomination, which ended with a public endorsement of Trump that some perceived as lukewarm.
Pompeo, on the other hand, has been a more vocal supporter of Trump, but his criticism of the former president’s handling of classified documents may have contributed to his exclusion from the administration.
Ramaswamy, a multi-millionaire pharmaceutical entrepreneur, ran against Trump in the Republican primaries before ultimately becoming a fervent supporter. He has not yet confirmed whether he will accept a position in Trump’s administration, as media reports suggest he may instead seek the governorship of Ohio in 2026.
The announcement has sparked further speculation about Trump’s potential cabinet picks and the direction of his future political ambitions.
