**Chennai, Tamil Nadu:** Renowned Tamil actor Delhi Ganesh passed away on November 9th at the age of 80 due to age-related ailments. He was cremated with full military honors on Monday morning in Chennai, with Indian Air Force personnel paying tribute to his decade-long service as an Air Force officer before his acting career.

Ganesh, known for his versatility and impactful performances, received widespread acclaim for his contributions to Tamil cinema. He was honored with the Tamil Nadu State Film Award Special Prize for his performance in ‘Pasi’ (1979) and received the prestigious Kalaimamani award in 1994. In his later years, he also ventured into television and short films, leaving a lasting impression with his unique acting style.

His passing has been mourned by prominent figures across the nation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences on X, stating, “Deeply saddened by the passing of the illustrious film personality, Thiru Delhi Ganesh Ji. He will be fondly remembered for the depth he brought to each role and for his ability to connect with viewers across generations.”

Superstar Rajinikanth also shared his grief on X, remembering Ganesh as “a wonderful man and an amazing actor.” Condolences poured in from fellow actors, including Vijay and Karthi, as well as members of the film industry and political circles.
