**Palakkad, November 10, 2024:** The three-day CBSE State Kalotsav, hosted by the Confederation of Kerala Sahodaya Complexes (CKSC) at Ahalia Public School in Palakkad, concluded on Sunday with Thrissur Sahodaya emerging as the overall champion.

More than 5,000 students from over 700 CBSE schools across Kerala participated in the arts festival, showcasing their talents across 35 stages. Thrissur Sahodaya dominated the competition, securing the top spot in both stage and non-stage events. They amassed a total of 1,445 points, leaving Malabar Sahodaya and Kochi Sahodaya in second and third place respectively.

In the individual school category, Silver Hills Public School from Kozhikode won the overall championship, with Devagiri CMI Public School, Kozhikode, and Devamatha CMI Public School, Thrissur, claiming second and third positions.

The final day of the festival saw a vibrant display of talents, with competitions in mimicry, mono act, folk dance, Bharatanatyam, Mapilapattu, one-act play, and elocution.

Film actors Vijay Babu and Niranjana Babu graced the valedictory function, presenting trophies to the winners. Notable performances included Kalyani Roopesh from Viswajyothi Public School, Angamaly, winning the first prize in folk dance in the upper primary category. Aiswarya V. from the same school shared the first prize in the senior secondary folk dance category with Sia Sylvester from Hill Blooms School, Mananthavady. Ms. Sylvester also won the first prize in the oil painting competition.

Rosalina Ain Benny from Devamatha CMI Public School, Thrissur, stood out with first-prize wins in Bharatanatyam and folk dance in the secondary category, while Akshara Shynod from Bhavans Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara, won the first prize in folk dance in the primary category. A team from Don Bosco Central School, Kottayam, secured the first prize in mime in the general category. R. Sneha Lakshmi from Amrita Vidyalayam, Kottekkad, took home the first prize in light music in the senior secondary category.
