Sun Nov 10 18:30:00 UTC 2024: ## 49ers Star Nick Bosa Fined for Wearing “Make America Great Again” Hat

**TAMPA, Fla.** – San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa has been fined $11,255 by the NFL for wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat during a postgame interview last month.

Bosa, after a victory over the Dallas Cowboys on October 27th, donned the hat while interrupting an interview with teammates George Kittle, Brock Purdy, and Isaac Guerendo.

According to league rules, players are prohibited from displaying personal messages or non-sponsored branding during games and related activities, including postgame interviews.

While aware of the potential fine, Bosa indicated he would pay it without hesitation, stating “it was well worth it.” When asked about his decision to wear the hat, Bosa declined to elaborate, simply saying “I’m not going to talk too much about it, but I think it’s an important time.”

Bosa’s decision comes amidst a politically charged environment following the recent presidential election, where former President Donald Trump was declared the winner. Bosa, who recently signed a five-year, $170 million extension with the 49ers, has maintained his position on not discussing the hat incident further, stating “I don’t think my position on speaking about it is going to change…Clearly, the nation spoke. And we got what we got.”
