Mon Nov 11 03:20:00 UTC 2024: ## Jokic’s Triple-Double Powers Nuggets Past Heat

**DENVER** – Nikola Jokic continued his dominant form, recording his third consecutive triple-double with 30 points, 14 assists, and 11 rebounds, leading the Denver Nuggets to a convincing 135-122 victory over the Miami Heat on Friday night.

Jokic’s performance marked his fifth triple-double of the season, the most in the NBA. The Nuggets’ offense was firing on all cylinders, with Jamal Murray adding 28 points, including a historic achievement of becoming the first player in Nuggets franchise history to reach 1,000 career 3-pointers. He returned after missing three games due to a concussion.

The Heat were dealt a major blow early in the game when star Jimmy Butler turned his ankle on a drive and was forced to exit the game. Denver capitalized on the absence, opening a 17-6 lead within the first four minutes and ultimately outscoring Miami by 13 points in the first quarter.

Despite a valiant effort, the Heat were unable to recover from the early deficit, with Tyler Herro leading the team with 24 points and 11 assists.

The Nuggets, who have now won six of their last seven games, continue to build momentum, showcasing their strength and depth. Russell Westbrook had a strong performance with a season-high 10 assists, demonstrating his continued improvement since joining the team.

The Nuggets will look to continue their winning streak against the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday, while the Heat will continue their road trip against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
