**New Delhi:** Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to launch the new generation Dzire sedan on November 11th and is looking to boost its export business in the Middle East and Latin American markets with the updated model.
The carmaker, which has already achieved record export numbers in recent years, is targeting key markets like the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Chile, Mexico, and other Latin American countries. The new Dzire, boasting a slew of upgrades and features, including six airbags as standard, has been well-received by consumers and is expected to contribute significantly to the company’s export success.
“We are aiming for more than 3 lakh unit exports this financial year,” said Rahul Bharti, Executive Director of Corporate Affairs at Maruti Suzuki India. “The new Dzire’s sleek design, advanced technology, and safety features have been well-received in the market, and we expect it to further fuel our export growth.”
Maruti Suzuki’s exports have grown significantly in recent years, with the company currently exporting to Latin America, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. The automaker aims to re-enter Europe and Japan with its upcoming electric SUV, the eVitara.
The company’s export strategy focuses on expanding its model portfolio and entering new markets, with the Dzire set to play a crucial role in this expansion. Maruti Suzuki is aiming to triple its export numbers by the end of the decade, reaching an ambitious target of 8 lakh units per year.
While the domestic sedan market is experiencing shrinking market share due to the increasing popularity of SUVs and crossovers, Maruti Suzuki is confident that the new Dzire will help them retain their market share in India as well.
