Mon Nov 11 03:40:00 UTC 2024: ## Sacramento Kings End Suns’ Winning Streak with Overtime Thriller
PHOENIX, ARIZONA – The Sacramento Kings ended the Phoenix Suns’ seven-game winning streak with a hard-fought 127-118 overtime victory on Sunday night. DeMar DeRozan led the Kings’ charge, scoring the first eight points of overtime and finishing the game with 34 points.
The Suns were without Kevin Durant, who was injured on Friday and will miss at least two weeks. The game was tight throughout, with the Suns leading through the fourth quarter until Keegan Murray tipped in his own missed shot with 3.9 seconds left to give Sacramento a one-point lead.
However, Murray committed a foul on the Suns’ inbounds play, allowing Devin Booker to tie the game with a free throw. Booker had a chance to win it with a shot from the corner, but missed.
Domantas Sabonis recorded his ninth consecutive double-double for the Kings with 20 points and 12 rebounds before fouling out in overtime. Murray also contributed a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds, while De’Aaron Fox added 21 points and 11 rebounds. Bradley Beal led Phoenix with 28 points.
The Kings were able to capitalize on their momentum in overtime, never trailing after DeRozan’s three-point play to open the extra period.
The Suns will travel to Utah for the In-Season Tournament on Tuesday, while the Kings will play in San Antonio on Monday.
