Mon Nov 11 07:24:05 UTC 2024: ## Buttler Blasts England to Series Win Over West Indies
**Bridgetown, Barbados:** Jos Buttler smashed a blistering 83 off just 45 balls to power England to a dominant seven-wicket victory over the West Indies in the second T20I at Kensington Oval on Sunday. The win gives England a 2-0 lead in the five-match series.
Buttler, who came to the crease after the early dismissal of Phil Salt, unleashed a barrage of eight fours and six sixes, turning a potentially challenging target of 159 into a comfortable chase. The England captain and Will Jacks (38 off 29 balls) put on a crucial 129-run partnership for the second wicket, ensuring a comfortable victory in just 14.4 overs.
Earlier, the West Indies, batting first, were restricted to 158 for eight, with Rovman Powell (43 off 41 balls) top-scoring. The home side’s innings suffered a late collapse after reaching 102 for six in the 16th over, with Liam Livingstone claiming two wickets for 16 runs.
Buttler, who was dropped by Sherfane Rutherford in the 13th over, expressed his joy after the match, stating, “It was scratchy for the first couple of balls but when I got going I really enjoyed it. It was great to be back out there.”
The series now shifts to St. Lucia, where the remaining three matches will be played starting next Thursday. England will be looking to complete a clean sweep, while the West Indies will be aiming to salvage some pride in the series.
