**Cumming, GA -** Jerry Rice, 74, of Cumming, GA, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Rice, a long-time resident of Cumming, was known for his warm personality, infectious laughter, and dedication to family and friends.

Born in Albany, GA, Mr. Rice spent over forty years in the appliance industry, starting in the warehouse and eventually rising to sales. He was a passionate supporter of the University of Georgia sports, and the family requests that attendees wear red, black, or UGA apparel to the services.

Beyond his professional life, Mr. Rice was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying golfing, fishing, camping, and cooking. He was also an active member of his community, coaching his children’s sports teams and cherishing time with his family, including trips to the beach and lake with his wife, kids, and grandkids.

Mr. Rice is survived by his wife of 29 years, Ruth Rice; children, Michael & DeAnn Rice, Meredith & David Hutson, Tim & Lisa Rice, Jeff Rice, Richard & Tanya Rice; stepson Josh Branham and his significant other Angela Adkins; brother and sister in-law, Dan & Maria Rice; 6 grandchildren, Kyle, Cihan, Kendall, Jason, Autumn, and Lauren. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at Ingram Funeral Home, 210 Ingram Avenue, Cumming, GA 30040. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 11, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and Tuesday, November 12, 2024, from 11:00 am until service time at Ingram Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens in Cumming, GA.
