**Gqeberha, South Africa:** South Africa bounced back in style, defeating India by 7 wickets in a thrilling second T20 at the St. George’s Park Stadium on Friday, evening.
India, who were looking to seal the series, were set a target of 125 runs by the Proteas. Despite a good start, they lost wickets at regular intervals, eventually finishing at 124/6. Hardik Pandya top-scored with 39 runs while Axar Patel contributed 27 runs.
South Africa, however, proved too strong in the chase, thanks to a resilient innings by Tristan Stubbs who remained unbeaten on 47 runs. He was ably supported by Gerald Coetzee who smashed 19 runs off just 9 balls to take his team home.
Varun Chakravarthy was the pick of the Indian bowlers, claiming 4 wickets, including the crucial dismissal of captain Aiden Markram, who only managed 3 runs. However, the South African batsmen showed remarkable composure, ensuring a comfortable win and leveling the series at 1-1.
