Sun Nov 10 21:07:07 UTC 2024: ## Celtics Win Over Hornets Despite Brown’s Absence
**CHARLOTTE, N.C.** – The Boston Celtics secured a 113-103 victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday night, despite the absence of star guard Jaylen Brown.
Brown, who scored 25 points in Friday’s win over the Hornets, was ruled out with a left hip flexor strain. Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla described the injury as a nagging issue Brown has been playing through, and decided to give him the night off to rest and recover.
The Hornets were also without their top two centers, Nick Richards (shoulder injury) and Mark Williams (out for the season). This left the team thin in the paint, contributing to their loss against the Celtics.
The Celtics will hope to have Brown back soon, as they continue their road trip. Mazzulla categorized his status as “day-to-day.”
