Mon Nov 11 12:48:40 UTC 2024: ## Buttler Blasts England to 2-0 Lead in T20 Series Against West Indies

**BRIDGETOWN, BARBADOS:** Jos Buttler’s sensational 83 off 45 balls powered England to a dominant seven-wicket victory over the West Indies in the second T20 International at Kensington Oval on Sunday.

The victory gives England a commanding 2-0 lead in the five-match series.

Chasing a target of 159, Buttler took the game by the scruff of the neck, smashing eight fours and six sixes in a devastating display against the West Indies bowlers. He put on a 129-run partnership with Will Jacks, who contributed 38 runs, as England reached the target in just 14.4 overs.

Buttler, who was dropped by Sherfane Rutherford on 63, eventually fell for 83 but his innings had already sealed the fate of the match.

Earlier, Rovman Powell top-scored for the West Indies with 43 runs, while Romario Shepherd’s late cameo of 22 off 12 balls added some respectability to the home team’s total. Liam Livingstone was the pick of the England bowlers, taking two wickets for 16 runs.

The series now moves to St. Lucia for the remaining three matches, with England looking to avenge their 2-1 defeat in the preceding ODI series.
