**Vadodara, Gujarat (November 11, 2024):** A fire broke out at the Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) refinery in Vadodara, Gujarat, following an explosion on Monday afternoon. The blast occurred at around 4 p.m. at the Koyali refinery, sending plumes of smoke visible from miles away.
Initial reports indicate that while there have been no confirmed fatalities, a few people sustained minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital. Local MLA Dharmendrasinh Vaghela confirmed that no deaths have been reported.
Authorities are currently conducting rescue operations and the full extent of the damage and casualties remains unclear. DCP (Traffic) Jyoti Patel stated that details will become available as rescue efforts progress.
