**Sangareddy, Telangana:** A container truck carrying several cars caught fire on the Hyderabad-Mumbai highway near Ranjol on the Zaheerabad bypass road today, resulting in the complete destruction of eight vehicles. The incident, which occurred while the truck was en route from Mumbai to Hyderabad, led to significant traffic disruptions.
Witnesses reported seeing a blaze engulfing the container, with thick grey-white smoke billowing into the air. Firefighters struggled to contain the intense flames, and despite their efforts, all eight cars inside the container were completely destroyed.
The container driver sustained 20 per cent burns and was immediately rushed to a local hospital. Preliminary investigations suggest a short-circuit may have been the cause of the fire.
The incident caused a significant traffic jam on the highway, with numerous vehicles forced to halt as emergency teams worked to clear the site and ensure driver safety.
