Mon Nov 11 09:25:43 UTC 2024: ## Tamil Nadu Government’s Ambedkar Entrepreneurship Scheme Disburses Over ₹453 Crore in Loans

**Chennai:** The Tamil Nadu government’s ‘Anna Ambedkar Entrepreneurship Scheme’ has disbursed over ₹453 crore in loans to date, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin announced on X (formerly Twitter).

The scheme, which aims to empower entrepreneurs from the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes communities, has so far benefited 1,988 individuals. In addition to the loans, the scheme also provides a subsidy of ₹230 crore.

“This is a revolutionary scheme of the Dravidian Model, aimed at creating entrepreneurs from the SC/ST community,” stated the Chief Minister. He further urged eligible individuals to take advantage of the scheme and strive for success.

The scheme is gaining traction, as evidenced by the high number of beneficiaries and the significant amount of loans disbursed. This initiative demonstrates the Tamil Nadu government’s commitment to empowering marginalized communities through economic opportunities.
