**Tehran, November 12, 2023** – The price of gold in Iran experienced a decline at the start of trading today, Monday, November 12, 2023. While the price of an ounce of gold globally remained unchanged, the price of 18 karat gold in Iran dropped by over 100,000 tomans, reaching approximately 4,445,000 tomans per gram. The price of 24 karat gold reached 5,927,000 tomans.
The global price of gold stood at $2,683.77 per ounce, unchanged from yesterday. The price of a misqal of gold in Iran was traded at 19,250,000 tomans. Second-hand gold can be purchased for approximately 4,386,000 tomans.
The coin market also experienced a downward trend, with all types of coins seeing a significant decrease in prices.
The price of an Imam coin dropped by 1,055,000 tomans, reaching 50,060,000 tomans. The price of a Bahar Azadi coin decreased by 680,000 tomans, currently trading at 48,400,000 tomans. The price of a half coin dropped by 1,100,000 tomans, reaching 25,660,000 tomans, and the price of a quarter coin decreased by 200,000 tomans, reaching 15,540,000 tomans.
The “bubble” of the Imam coin was estimated at 6,708,000 tomans, the Bahar Azadi coin at 5,108,000 tomans, the half coin at 4,004,000 tomans, the quarter coin at 4,700,000 tomans, and the gram coin at 2,286,000 tomans.
