**Chennai, November 10, 2024:** A 40-year-old woman, Swarnalakshmi, was tragically killed in a road accident on Saturday in Madhavaram when the two-wheeler she was riding was hit by a truck.

According to the police, Swarnalakshmi was riding the two-wheeler with her friend Prabha riding pillion when a truck struck them from behind. Swarnalakshmi died instantly due to the impact, while Prabha sustained serious injuries and was admitted to a private hospital on Greames Road.

The Madhavaram Traffic Investigation Police have filed a case and arrested the truck driver.
