**Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh:** Three forest department officials were injured after being attacked by a trapped leopard in Bijnor district on Saturday. The incident occurred while the officials were attempting to secure the animal in a cage.
The leopard had been trapped in a forest near Dharmanagri. A video of the incident shows three officials carrying the subdued leopard towards a cage in a truck. Two officials held the animal’s paws while another, wearing a helmet, held the leopard near its head.
As the officials approached the cage, they placed the leopard down. However, the animal suddenly woke up, roared, and attacked the workers.
The officials quickly managed to re-secure the leopard in the cage. Three workers sustained injuries in the incident and are currently receiving medical treatment.
