Sat Nov 09 03:43:55 UTC 2024: ## Seattle Stabbing Spree: Suspect Arrested After Nine Injured

**SEATTLE -** A man has been arrested in connection with a series of random stabbings in Seattle’s Chinatown-International District, leaving nine people injured over two days. The attacks began on Thursday, November 7th, and continued into Friday, November 8th.

Police confirmed that five people were stabbed on Friday afternoon in a four-block area. Witnesses provided a description of the suspect, leading to his arrest nearby. A weapon was recovered at the scene, and one victim was found with a knife lodged in their body.

Four of the victims were taken to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition, while one victim was treated at the scene and released.

Deputy Chief Eric Barden stated that the arrested suspect is believed to be responsible for at least four other stabbings that occurred on Thursday. While investigations are ongoing, the suspect descriptions and random nature of the attacks point to the same individual.

The first stabbing on Thursday involved a 52-year-old woman who was found with multiple stab wounds. Later that day, a 32-year-old man and a 37-year-old man were also stabbed multiple times. In the early hours of Friday, a 53-year-old man was found bleeding heavily from a neck injury.

Police also reported a 10th stabbing on Thursday night, which involved a cell phone robbery and an attempt to stab a 60-year-old man in the chest. The victim blocked the attack but sustained a cut on his hand. While authorities are investigating, it is unclear if this incident is connected to the random stabbings.

All victims from Friday’s stabbing spree are reported to be alive.
