Sat Nov 09 23:06:15 UTC 2024: ## Leicester City’s Buonanotte Could Break Transfer Record, Data Reveals

Leicester City fans are hoping for a permanent deal for their star loanee, Facundo Buonanotte, but Brighton’s asking price could be astronomical. New data from the CIES Football Observatory ranks the 19-year-old attacking midfielder as the 15th most valuable under-21 player in the world, with a valuation of €58.1 million (£48.4 million).

This figure would easily surpass Leicester’s current transfer record of £40 million spent on midfielder Youri Tielemans, making a move for Buonanotte a very expensive proposition. Brighton, however, are showing no signs of selling the talented Argentine, who has impressed during his loan spell at the King Power Stadium.

Buonanotte is not the only Leicester player to feature on the CIES list, with fellow youngsters Abdul Fatawu (35th, €37.1 million) and Bilal El Khannouss (55th, €26.6 million) also making the top 100. The list is topped by Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal, valued at a staggering €180.9 million (£150.7 million).

While the chances of Buonanotte staying at Leicester beyond his loan spell remain slim, the club’s recent performances and the player’s impressive displays could give them a fighting chance. However, any potential deal would require a significant financial commitment from the Foxes.
