Sat Nov 09 22:05:32 UTC 2024: ## India Eyeing 2-0 Lead Against South Africa in Gqeberha T20I

**Gqeberha, November 9, 2024:** India will aim to secure a 2-0 lead in the T20I series against South Africa when the two teams clash in the second match at Gqeberha on Sunday. While Sanju Samson’s brilliant century powered India to a 61-run win in the first match, the team’s top order struggles remain a concern.

India will need to address their top order inconsistency, with opener Abhishek Sharma continuing to struggle for runs. Despite a century against Zimbabwe earlier this year, Sharma has been unable to replicate that form, prompting speculation about his future in the opening slot. While Tilak Varma showed promise with a quick-fire 33 in the first match, he will need to convert those cameos into bigger knocks to secure his place.

Despite the shaky top order, India’s bowling attack was impressive in the first match, with Varun Chakravarthy and Ravi Bishnoi both claiming three wickets. The team will be confident of replicating this performance in Gqeberha.

South Africa, on the other hand, face an uphill battle. Already struggling without key players like Quinton de Kock, Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, and Tabraiz Shamsi, the Proteas are in need of improved performances from their senior players, including captain Aiden Markram, David Miller, and Heinrich Klaasen.

With the series hanging in the balance, both teams are likely to be fighting tooth and nail for victory in Gqeberha.
