**Chennai, India -** Tata Motors, India’s leading car manufacturer, announced plans to build a new $1.2 billion manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu. The announcement comes shortly after the death of Tata Group Chairman Emeritus, Ratan Tata, on October 9. His half-brother, Noel Tata, who now serves as the chairman of Tata Trusts, has overseen this major investment, which aims to solidify Tata Motors’ position as a global automotive leader.
