**Mumbai, India:** The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has announced an extension to the registration deadline for the Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED) 2025 and the Common Entrance Exam for Design (CEED) 2025. Aspiring design students now have until **5 pm on [last date]** to register on the official IIT Bombay website.

The exams are scheduled for **January 19, 2025, from 9 am to 12 noon**. Candidates are required to pay a registration fee of **Rs 4,000**, with a reduced fee of **Rs 2,000 for female candidates and those belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories.**

**Admit cards will be available for download from January 3, 2025**, and any discrepancies must be rectified by **January 9, 2025**. The results of both exams are expected to be declared on **March 7, 2025**.

**UCEED is conducted for admissions to Bachelor of Design (BDes) programmes at six IITs and IIITDM Jabalpur, while its score is also accepted by other institutes for their BDes programmes.**

**CEED qualified students are eligible to apply for the MDes and PhD programmes in various institutes.** The CEED 2025 score is valid for **one year** from the date of result declaration.

**Eligibility criteria for UCEED 2025 includes passing or appearing in class 12 (or equivalent) in 2024 or 2025 in any stream (Science, Commerce, or Arts and Humanities).**

The three-hour exam is conducted in two parts: **Part-A is computer-based, while Part-B requires sketching on a provided sheet**. Candidates must attempt both parts within the stipulated time.
