This initiative aims to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and industry demands, and to equip students with the skills necessary for successful careers.

The program will be held in designated centers across 15 districts and is open to 4,500 final year students from engineering and polytechnic colleges. The program will take place in two phases, each spanning three days, in January 2025. The first phase will run from January 7th to 9th, while the second phase will be held from January 21st to 23rd.

The program will cover a range of topics, including:

* **Industry-specific skills and knowledge:** Students will gain valuable insights from experienced faculty and industry experts, ensuring their training is aligned with current industry requirements.
* **Personality development and communication skills:** Students will undergo training to enhance their communication abilities and develop the confidence necessary to excel in interviews and professional settings.
* **Entrepreneurship and business development:** The program will offer sessions on starting small-scale industries, financial aspects, and access to government and bank support for aspiring entrepreneurs.

TNSCST member secretary, S. Vincent, highlighted the importance of the program, stating, “This initiative aims to ensure better employability of students and motivate them to become entrepreneurs.” He emphasized that the training will not only equip students with industry-specific skills but also provide a platform for collaboration between educational institutions and industry.

Each center will admit 300 students, offering a valuable opportunity for students to gain the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the competitive job market.
