**Odesa, Ukraine -** One person was killed and over 30 injured in Ukraine on Saturday after a series of Russian drone and missile attacks overnight, Ukrainian officials reported. The strikes targeted Odesa, a key Black Sea port city, causing a large fire at an apartment building, according to Ukrainian public broadcaster Suspilne. Videos online show cars and buildings engulfed in flames with thick plumes of smoke rising into the air.

Meanwhile, Russia claimed its air defenses intercepted and destroyed 15 Ukrainian drones over the southern Bryansk region. Regional governor Alexander Bogomaz stated there were no reported injuries or damage.

**New Delhi, India -** India’s Oil Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has stated that global oil prices would have skyrocketed if India had not continued to purchase Russian oil following the Ukraine war. Since the invasion in 2022, India, the world’s third-largest importer and consumer of oil, has become the top buyer of discounted Russian seaborne oil, which Western countries have shunned.
