**Visakhapatnam, November 9, 2024:** A two-day training workshop was conducted for Andhra Pradesh Marine Police and lighthouse personnel from the Director General Lighthouse and Lightships (DGLL) in preparation for Exercise Sea Vigil 2024. The workshop, led by the Naval Officer-in-Charge of Andhra Pradesh, covered crucial aspects of coastal security, including communication, surveillance, patrolling, threat identification, and reporting protocols.
The training aims to enhance the preparedness of the participating agencies for the main exercise, scheduled for November 20 and 21. The Indian Navy, designated as the lead agency on coastal security, is actively involved in coordinating these efforts. This training session is a significant step in strengthening the overall coastal security apparatus in Andhra Pradesh and ensuring effective collaboration among various stakeholders.
