**Baton Rouge, LA** – The No. 7 ranked LSU women’s basketball team showcased their offensive prowess in a dominant 95-36 victory over Northwestern State on Friday night at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
The Tigers exploded in the second quarter, outscoring the Demons 25-3, with star guard Flau’jae Johnson leading the charge. Johnson finished the game with 24 points, showcasing her effortless shooting and scoring ability.
LSU’s defense was equally impressive, forcing 21 turnovers and limiting Northwestern State to a dismal 19% shooting percentage. Sophomore guard Mikaylah Williams added 16 points, 4 assists, 4 steals, and 4 rebounds, demonstrating her versatility on both ends of the court.
